About Fenway Health
Fenway Health advocates for and delivers innovative, equitable, accessible health care, supportive services, and transformative research and education. We center LGBTQIA+ people, BIPOC individuals, and other underserved communities to enable our local, national, and global neighbors to flourish. Motivated by the belief that healthcare is a right, not a privilege, politically active area residents and politicians opened a one-day-a-week drop-in center in the basement of a building owned by the Christian Science Church in 1971. Fifty years later, Fenway Health has grown to over 600 paid staff members with an annual budget of more than $131,000,000. In 2021, we provided 195,000 patient visits to over 33,000 patients that speak over 43 different languages.
